Dr Laura Molony is formerly from Dublin and graduated from University College Dublin Medical School in 1989.She specialised in General Practice Medicine and graduated from the Irish College and the Royal College of General Practice in 1993. 

She subsequently worked in France and Western Australia and returned to take up afull-time post in Piltown, Co. Kilkenny in 1995. She is a member of the Irish College of General Practice.

Dr Laura Molony’s areas of special interest are Paediatric Care, Dermatology, and Female Health, which includes Contraceptive, Menopause, Cervical Screening, Antenatal and Postnatal Care for which she has further post graduate training.

Dr Pilar graduated from University Autonoma of Madrid ( Spain) in 1999. She also completed special ist training in family and Community Medicine in Madrid, in 2003.

​

She worked as a GP in Madrid until 2017, and also in the 

Emergency Department of Sanitas Hospital La Moraleja.

​

She moved to Ireland in 2017 and began working as a GP. She joined the Piltown General  Practice in  May 2022

​

Her special interests are cardiovascular Health, Diabetes and Infectious Diseases.

Dr Phelan graduated from University College Dublin in 2006. She completed basic specialist training in Paediatrics before specialising in General Practice. She completed the Southeast GP training scheme in 2013. She worked in the NHS in primary care in East Anglia before returning to the Southeast to settle in Kilkenny and joining the Piltown General Practice in January 2023.

 

She has additional training in Diabetes and Palliative care and has special interests in paediatrics and Women’s health.

Dr Joy Nemuel

Dr Joy Nemuel graduated from the University of Szeged in Hungary in 2017. She relocated to Ireland shortly after and worked in St Lukes Hospital Kilkenny.

 

She completed her 4 year programme in General Practice Training. Her special interests include Women’s Health, which includes contraceptive, and paediatric care.She joined Piltown General Practice in 2023.

Registered General Nurse

Una trained and worked in London and returned to work in Kilkenny in 1983. She has 20 plus years’ experience in Critical/ Intensive Care.

She has worked in Primary Care since 2007 and continues with Professional Development Courses to include Holistic Health Diploma.

She has a special interest in Health Screening, Cervical Screening and Childhood Immunisation.

Registered General Nurse

Bridget qualified as a registered general nurse from Beaumont Hospital in 2003. She worked as a general nurse in both Beaumont Hospital and University Hospital Waterford for a further 4 years.

 

She returned to College to do a higher diploma in occupational health safety and hygiene in 2007 and spent a few years working as an Occupational health nurse which then led her into the field of practice nursing. She has worked in practice nursing since 2010. 

She keeps her skills and knowledge up to date by taking part in relevant continuing professional development.

Nurse Marta Glowczyk

Registered General Nurse

Marta trained to become a nurse in Tarnow Poland. She graduated with a Master in Science degree of General Nursing in 2020.She then moved to Ireland and became an affiliated NMBI member.
She started working as a Nurse in Ros Aobhinn Nursing Home. She also worked in a number of General Hospitals and has worked with children with mild and severe disability and in agency nursing gaining diverse experience.
Additional Courses achieved are phlebotomy, urinary catheter training and child immunisation. Her special interest is in Wound Care and  Stoma Care. She joined our Practice in 2024.
